Training was intense, but the reality is that none of the training in the academy, nor on the street prepared me, or my fellow officers for the stress and anguish of dealing with the violence and crime.
Because it is committed to those who have dedicated themselves to serving others, veterans and first responders. The men and women who often place their lives on the line to ensure that the everyday citizens of our nation can go about his or her day more peacefully.
I am thankful that I can perhaps play at least a small role in that process.

As an Army veteran, I understand the physical and psychological hardships our military and first responders make to provide a better world for us to live in.
After trying different jobs for a few years, and not having the satisfaction of assisting others and not obtaining any personal growth, I saw the advertisement for Warriors Heart and read about the Mission. I instantly knew I wanted to be part of the team in helping save lives.
I witnessed the horror and tragedy of war first hand. I saw the effects and heavy burdens that it placed on my fellow brother and sisters in arms, as well their loved ones.
Tim has much respect and affinity for those that have served in the military and as first responders. He believes that those that serve deserve the very best care that they can get as they have earned it.
I am so thankful to see there is a place to heal, a place of hope, a place to be understood and I get to be a small part of it.
Being retired from the US Navy I have seen my share of fellow military members who needed help after experiencing only what one can call a normal day in the life of someone enlisted in the military.
