Bob was born and raised here in Virginia in the Richmond area. He is a retired LEO with 45 years of service in the profession. He is married to Mary, his wife of 43 years. They have three children, six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Bob and his family live here in Caroline County near our facility.
Bob serves as a county planning commissioner, is a member of Sparta Baptist Church, and also a member of the Sparta Ruritan Club.
Because of his past service he has a strong appreciation of the life experiences all of our warriors have had. Either as a member of the military, law enforcement, firefighter, medical, or any other first responder Bob has seen the negative effects life has had on his friends and families.
His goal is to be of help in any way he can to make the healing path easier.
My Why:
Initially I thought the “My Why” would be difficult to compose so I started reflecting on my 45 years in law enforcement. I thought back to my experiences and the negative happenings I had to witness. I thought about the many warriors I have had the pleasure to know and work with and have had similar experiences.
My thoughts also were of those who developed an alcohol or drug addiction, to my fellow officers and first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice, those who committed suicide, those whose lives were torn apart by divorce and loss of family.
I also thought about how blessed I was to have survived. God and Jesus Christ watched over me many times.
I first met Josh Lannon, Tom Spooner, Angel Lugo, and Justin Jordan as they began the process of obtaining a Special Exception to the zoning on the property here in Caroline County.
The more I spoke with them, the more impressed I became with them as individuals, their goals, and their mission. I found them to be very sincere and experienced in their field.
Warrior’s Heart has a top notch facility and staff here in Virginia. When the opportunity to become a small part of this organization I did not hesitate. I am so very grateful to be a part of Warrior’s Heart.
