My Why:
After witnessing a close friend of mine, who had served in the Marines, pass away due to an overdose, I decided I needed to change my career to something in which I could help others in a more “hands-on” way. The way everything happened during this time, I knew it was exactly what I was being called to do. I was not supposed to be at work the day he was brought in and the next steps in my life seemed to fall into place effortlessly on my part. I am very passionate about the importance of mental health and doing whatever I can to provide a trusting, nonjudgmental environment for everyone. I have witnessed a lot of people who have experienced trauma and difficult situations over the years and I know how difficult it can be to trust others and be vulnerable. I am excited to be part of the Warriors Heart team and be able to help all the men and women I see come back home!
