My Why: Brian Gray

Brian Gray
Shop Manager

Born in October 1975, Brian Gray grew up in Caroline County through most of his life. When he was 16 he eventually moved to Pennsylvania where he attended Millersburg High School and graduated in June of 1994. After high school Brian joined the Marine Corps and spent his time in there services at a few different duty stations such as: Okinawa, Japan and Camp LeJeune, NC. During his time in the Marines Brian also served 6 months on the USS Saipan LHAZ Ship. In February 1999 Brian then received an Honorable Discharge.

After his discharge he moved back to Virginia to care for his mother who was sick at the time and who ended up passing away in the summer. With the passing of his mother, Brian went on a journey of finding himself again, landing him in the world of residential construction in 2008. From there, he started working at Explosive Experimental Area- Dahlgren Division.
In 2016 Brian left Dahlgren for a position as a Commercial Superintendent/Sight Safety and Health Officer until he decided to become self-employed, which he did right up until coming to Warriors Heart in June 2024.

My Why:

I work here at Warriors Heart because I have walked a mile in the client’s shoes. Addiction is a long hard road of feeling unwanted, unworthy, lost, and afraid, with no one to turn to for help! I want to be part of the support system that I didn’t have.
