I have completed a decorated military career and have time and again been successful developing long-lasting relationships between customers and defense contractors for many years as a business development manager. However, neither of these careers has impacted me as much as working with those dealing with addiction and mental health issues. I am the child of an alcoholic, and my family has suffered through the effects of the disease for many decades. I became driven to understand how the mind, body, and spirit can recover from such a devious and cunning adversary. More often than not, addiction brings with it unresolved grief, trauma, shame, and guilt which must be addressed in order to live our best lives.

In 2018 I received my undergrad in Counseling with an emphasis in addiction, chemical dependency, and substance abuse through Grand Canyon University (Phoenix, AZ). I completed my master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2023.While working for the Defense Health Agency at Naval Medical Center, Camp Lejeune, NC I had the privilege of working with many men struggling with addiction. Some of these warriors attended Warriors Heart following a relapse. Often when they returned, they came to Men’s Group which I co-facilitated. When they returned from Warriors Heart, they were different people. I wanted to be part of an organization which promoted that type of transformation.

Why:

I have a strong background in training and development. My objective is to create an environment where our clients can discover and own who they are as human beings so they can become the best version of themselves for their families. I am committed to personal growth and advancement. As a veteran, it is especially important for me to continue to serve my fellow service members. I consider it an opportunity to work for Warriors Heart.
