I was born in Waukegan, IL located just outside of the Navy bootcamp. Thus began my life as a “military brat”.  Moving every 2-3 years I had the pleasure of living all over this great nation and visiting 48 or the 50 states along with being stationed overseas in Guam.  My education was well rounded and included private, public and homeschooling.  My biggest and most important job to date has been being a mother to my three amazing kids.  However, I have worked as a nanny, in retail, in the veterinary field, and photography.

In my spare time I can be found on the baseball fields with my sons, or on the ranch with my daughter helping gentle her wild mustang.  When time allows, I will get my camera out and photograph all the beautiful nature and animals I can find. Beyond my kids and my husband my passion has always find ways to serve others. No matter how big or small the service I have always found it better to give than receive.

My Why:

To help restore families and relationships.  Although there were so many positives to growing up in a military family, abuse was not one of them.  Sadly, my father was not able to deal with the trauma/PTSD from Vietnam and that greatly affected our family and my childhood.  I have also seen firsthand the affects that even the most recent wars have had on friends and family that have served this great country.  After working through my own childhood abuse, I have wanted nothing more than to help others heal and find who they are and who they can become on that path of restoration.  I come from generations of military warriors from WWI-Iraq/Afghanistan. Although, I did not personally serve I have always been the one in the background supporting and defending.  Like many I don’t want to see anyone left behind.  If I can help even one person on their journey of healing and that in turn helps a current or future family heal and stay together…to me there is no bigger blessing to share.
