Cynthia White (Cyndie) is a Registered Nurse. She was born and raised in Mechanicsville, Virginia. Cyndie completed her nursing degree in 2006, as a divorced “single” mom raising her two boys. She went to J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College. She has been working in Substance Use Disorder for 11 years, she previously worked in mental health, eating disorders, and children with dual diagnosis of medical and behavioral issues. She has been married to her husband Shane for 6 years. They met on an EMS call, and about 6 months later started dating, and both continued to volunteer with Fire and EMS for about 6 years. She is “mom” to her two adult children, Colton (31) and Andrew (28). “Bonus Mom” to Billy (31). Her spare time is spent with her husband and their animals. She and her husband have two Yorkies, two Great Danes, and a Great Dane/Mastiff. She likes to listen to audio books, going shopping, going to the beach, or the river, and traveling to new places.
My Why:
I am so humbled and honored to be a part of such an amazing program, for the healing for the WARRIORS. My father-in-law is retired from the navy and served for 19 years; he is a Vietnam veteran. My nephew is currently serving as an Army Sgt., 82nd Airborne Paratrooper. I am so thankful to be a part of this healing journey. WELCOME HOME!
