My Why: Darienne Peters

Client Relations

Darienne was born in Charleston, West Virginia. She graduated from Capital High School, where she found a love for the theatre and the performing arts, which has transformed her into the fun loving, silly, bubbly person that she is today. She lived in Charleston for 18 years before moving to Fairmont, West Virginia to study Communication Arts at Fairmont State University. This is where she met her Husband, Ben, a former Infantryman who served in Afghanistan in 2012. Darienne and Ben welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Poppy Lynne, into the world in April of 2020. Her little family decided to move to Caroline County soon after in 2021 with one goal in mind: a better life. Since finding Warrior’s Heart, she is positive that her family has met that goal.

In her free time, Darienne enjoys embroidery and crafting, spending time at the beach (really being near any body of water), taking care of her plants, and most importantly she loves to be around the people she loves most. Her friends, family, and pets are her whole world. She has four fur children; two cats, Clio and Koda, and two dogs, Thalia and Hercules, who has been a service dog to her husband since 2016, helping him through his struggles of PTSD.

My Why:

I believe that everyone has a purpose in this life, and mine is helping people. I love being a safe space for people, someone that anyone can count on.

I know from my own experiences just how hard life can be, and how easy it is to let the demons win. I have been stuck in the dark while dealing with depression and anxiety, and my own PTSD from childhood.

I had a dear friend who sadly lost her life to addiction and an overdose. I have watched family members lose themselves to the bottle. I have seen my husband struggle to find peace in himself after his deployments and sat with him when the emotions drowned him. I am no stranger to the pain that our warrior’s dealing with addiction and PTSD feel.

Our warriors have risked everything to protect us and this country, and they deserve a chance, and even a second chance… they just deserve better. Being able to support and encourage our warriors is an honor and a blessing.

I am a Warrior healing Warriors, and I am proud to be here at Warrior’s Heart.
