My Why: Fayth Cook

Fayth has understood the meaning of freedom since she was young. Her parents did not fail to teach her something of great importance. They taught her to be thankful for everything in life, but one of the most important things to be thankful for is her freedom. She was raised with these core values: God first, family second, our country third. Fayth was always fascinated by America’s history, alongside math, history was her favorite subject. We got our freedom through battle and continue to do so to this day. Fayth will forever be grateful for all our warriors have done and sacrificed for us. They’re our heroes and she will continue to do what she can to give back to them.

My Why:

I was truly moved by the Blue Star Mothers program, if you’re unaware they send packages to our troops during the holidays. Each box is filed with food/snacks and essentials, prayed over, and sent off to our troops. My great aunt, Shar, started this tradition in our family to attend Blue Star Mothers once her son, Brandon, joined the military. After my first attendance I felt amazing. The fact that I was able to even help our troops out a little bit brought me happiness. So in conclusion, “My why” is as simple as being able to give back to those who have made my life so much better. This is one step closer to me helping more. I am so glad I get the opportunity to help bring our warriors HOME.
