Jackie Jerndal
Yoga instructor
Born and raised in South Africa Jackie found her love for helping and sharing at a young age and realized very early on that we are on this earth to help each other. Coming to the United States in the late 80’s is where she began her teaching career. Jackie has an advanced 500-hour yoga teaching certificate and has been teaching yoga courses for the students of Germanna Community College for over 10 years. Jackie teaches yoga as a healing art incorporating all 8 limbs of yoga which includes not only the yoga poses but breathing techniques, mindfulness techniques and Yoga philosophy for everyday life, to help us live our lives connected to our inner peace. She has been a practitioner and teacher of Jyoti Meditation for over 15 years.
Jackie empowers her students to hold the space for themselves so they can listen to their bodies and interact with loving kindness with themselves in a relaxed atmosphere where they can thrive.
Jackie has also obtained her paraprofessional counseling certificate from Germanna Community College and has studied trauma informed yoga in NYC.
My Why
I love what I do is because there is no greater purpose, in my opinion, than to help each other in any way we can with the gifts we have been given. My philosophy regarding healing is the ability to connect to our higher wisdom and access and empower the part of ourselves that is connected to this wisdom through techniques such as meditation, mindfulness, support of others, and universal love. I am delighted to be a part of Warriors Heart because here I see the opportunities for all of the above.
