Jamie was born in Uvalde, Texas and moved to San Antonio when she was 4. She graduated from Alamo Heights High School, soon got married and began pre nursing courses while starting a family. She has been a nurse for 27 years. Jamie has worked in many areas of nursing, from direct patient care, case management, administrative and medical compliance for a global wound care device company.  The love of her life is also a nurse/ army veteran at Warriors Heart. Together, over the last 19 years, the two of them have raised 7 children, 13 grandchildren and two very spoiled weenie dogs.

My Why:

My oldest son and his best friend joined the army in June following 9/11. They were both assigned to the 101st Airborne division and completed two tours in Iraq from 2003-2007. When my son’s obligation was over, he struggled with PTSD and trying to fit in his day-to-day life. I have seen firsthand the impact this has had on my son and the whole family and I love devoting time to assist others with similar struggles and addictions.
