My Why: Kelly Wylie

Kelly Wylie
LCDC Intern

Kelly was born and raised in Houston, Tx but she has called the hill country home since 2021. Kelly has 3 kids, and for most of their life she was a stay-at-home mom. Her son Chase, passed away after a 5-year battle with leukemia and it led her into addiction. After getting sober and realizing that she could live a happy successful life without substances, she chose to go back to school to get her LCDC license. Kelly recently graduated from Texas State Technical College with her LCDC-I license and is now attending Midwestern State University pursuing her bachelors in substance abuse education.

My Why:

Being able to help the men and women who serve and protect us is an honor. I have family members who have served, and I have family members who have passed from their addiction. I have always enjoyed helping people, but I learned quickly helping people achieve sobriety and return to their life is my passion. Sometimes it only takes one person to change a life, it only took one to change mine.
