Melany was born and raised in Florida but has called San Antonio her home since 2007. She was a certified litigation paralegal for many years; however, her passion was always to become a counselor. So, she bravely went back to college as a non-traditional student and quickly realized it was one of the best decisions she had ever made. She earned her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas A&M University – San Antonio.

Being a clinician at Warriors Heart is a perfect fit for Melany as she has much respect and admiration for first responders and veterans, as many in her family have honorably served in the Air Force, Coast Guard, and the Marine Corps. She finds so much joy helping others and believes that we all are better when we take time to listen and to love.
