Misty was raised in San Antonio Texas, has moved to multiple states and then returned home. Misty Completed her MBA in Human Resources. She has recently left the corporate world to fulfill her passion to help others and is proud to be on the Warriors Heart Team.
Misty has one son named David who vows when he is older will also join the Warriors Heart team. In her spare time, she spends a much time as possible with her son, friends and family. She also has a dog named Wilson and three cats who constantly harass her.
MY WHY
For several years I have followed my friend’s journey with working at Warriors Heart. As I would see and admire the many great things she and this company were doing for our warriors, I would always have a little voice in the back of my head that said, “this is where you belong”. So, when I left corporate America after 9 years, I knew it was time.
I too have person experience with PTSD due to childhood trauma. This has been something I have learned to deal with over the year and can relate to those who are brave enough to reach out and ask for help. I have also lost family members to addiction. I feel blessed to be able to work for a company who truly puts our Warriors first and strives to bring them home.
