My Why: Molly Himes

Molly Himes, Licensed Practical Nurse, born and raised in a small town called Bradford, PA. Somewhere in between Erie, PA. and Buffalo, NY. She graduated from a faith-based nursing school in 1992 and moved to Buffalo, NY for more job opportunities. She got her first nursing job at the VA Medical Center where she gained a lot of experience especially in teamwork. Her and her family moved to VA 20+ years ago and considers this home while still  remembering her roots in PA and NY. Molly is married with 3 children, Jacob – 30, Alexandra -28 and Morgan just turned 9. She has 2 cats, Barry and Bella, and is a die hard fan of the Buffalo Bills.

My Why:

I myself am not a veteran and do not struggle with addiction however my husband struggles with severe addiction to alcohol. He declines any opportunity for help and will eventually succumb to his addiction. I hope I will be able to help others that have the strength to overcome their addiction, especially for themselves with family and friends by their side.
