My why:
Warriors Heart is a place I have heard of but never really knew what it was completely about. So once I did some reading and found out the purpose of Warriors Heart, I knew this is where I am supposed to be. I have a tremendous amount of family that has served our country in many and all branches of the military, All the way back to my Great-great grandfather and so on. My son is currently Active Duty Army and I could not be any prouder of him. I also come from a long line of family substance abuse and I myself have been trapped in the substance abuse life. February 12, 2008 is my recovery date. That day will forever be a life lesson day to learn about “Getting your Life Together and Grow-up”. That day I lost my step-dad to an illness, went to jail, and had my 3 children removed from my home and placed with Child Protective Services for almost 2 years. I hope that just maybe I can help, support and just listen to anyone that might need someone. I also believe if my son has the courage to serve his country, then I am honored to do what I can to give back to all that have served and help them in any way I can. Even if it is just a hot meal and inviting conversation. I am so pleased to be a part of this great company and everything it stands for.
