Russell was born in San Antonio, TX. He grew up in Lakehills, where he spent his childhood years swimming in Medina Lake and running through the woods by his home. Russell graduated from Bandera High School in 2006. He has worked in various positions over the years, performing such tasks as cooking, computer repair, and sales. A problem solver at heart, Russell enjoys breaking things down in order to get a better understanding of them. He spends his free time tinkering with electronics, reading, and gaming. He loves any hobby that requires attention to detail and mastery of technical skills. Russell has been married to Misty Anthony for nearly two decades, and they have four children (A daughter and 3 sons) together.

My Why 

I have been a member of the Warriors Heart family since the facility opened, albeit indirectly. I’ve seen from the sidelines how amazing the people who work here are to both clientele and each other. As someone who grew up surrounded by addiction, I feel lucky to have made it out on the other side of adolescence as well as I did. Warriors Heart represents an opportunity for me to channel my dark experiences into a positive force and help people avoid the pitfalls that I witnessed many others close to me fall into. I’ve always had a huge amount of respect for the men and women who serve in the armed forces and the idea that I can be of service to them in turn makes me genuinely happy.
