What Other Warriors are Saying About Warriors Heart

I am proof that the WARRIORS HEART WORKS. I would recommend this place to the men and women who are seeking help…

Warriors Heart is an incredible place. Between the staff at WH, the location & the clients, you can’t find another place that offers the same experience, education & therapeutic value. To have a facility run by first responders and first responders as clients is unique in its self. It is a relaxed and inviting environment with no outside distractions other then the ones you bring with you. I can’t say enough about how much WH has helped me. As a firefighter & paramedic I was worried that I would not fit into the Warrior Class of clients that they are used to. When I arrived I was treated as a brother in service just as everyone was. This is truly a safe healing place for military, fire, police & EMS. I was assigned to sober living with a navy seal, a member of delta force and a police officer. We have a paramedic in the next group and several more police officers. It doesn’t matter what uniform you wore, it only matters that you are in need and Warriors Heart will help you to heal.

Thank you to the Warriors Heart team and my fellow Warriors. The healing I received from attending the 42 day program was immeasurable. It truly is "Warriors Healing Warriors". I have attached a poem that was inspired by a term I created while describing my thought processing difficulties in a process group, Terminal Trauma Time Traveler. As a man with a long career of substance abuse and a rolodex full of combat trauma, I consider my time spent at Warriors Heart a significant milestone on my journey through life. I called in a time of severe desperation, you answered the call and provided me with the psychological rebirth that I was in dire need of. Similar to me joining the Army and finding a team that collectively provided me purpose for 24 years of success, the team of Warrior clients and Warriors Heart staff renewed a solid sense of purpose to propel me forward productively. Thank you to every Warrior there during my stay. God bless you all, as I have been blessed by the entire experience. Regards, Andy

I went to Warriors Heart for the 45 day program and stayed for about 9 months in Sober Living. People will tell you how beautiful the facility is which is very true but it’s how it’s run, the classes, the staff, the K9 program and being around fellow like minded first responders and veterans which separates this Rehab from others. The place is beautiful and you can go on hikes for miles and miles and clear your head and get perspective.I will and have recommended Warriors Heart to several people and I would send any loved one there without question! I’m not saying you will magically become sober if you go there, but if you are really ready and want to put in the work Warriors Heart owners and staff will go above and beyond to make sure you get all the tools and knowledge you need! And when you are ready to go home and back into the real world they give you an extremely detailed aftercare program and customize it to your hometown with a list of doctors, therapists and AA or NA meetings.Good luck and god bless

This is in response to M.K.'s comment...Hello, I don't work for Warriors Heart and nope, not getting paid to comment here either. I usually don't respond or make reviews about anything but I can hear nothing but hate and discontent in your review and I'm thinking to myself, "did we go to the same place?" Even though I'm what was dubbed a "dash-2" (it's an inside thaang) I can say with with my head up and with certainty, Miss Linda, Gary Sinise and the professional team at Warriors Heart saved my life. I was about to be one of the "22" and had already told my family it wasn't their fault and loved them and made my peace with it until I received a phone call out of the blue. "Just checking on you", yeah right, more like divine intervention with SgtMaj J. Christ dialing the numbers. Ok I'm rambling now. Back to W.H. I can't let you talk bad about the people I love without a rebuttal at least, because these folks are some black magic, Jedi mind trick, mind reading, high speed-low drag, tier 1 miracle working counselors and my friend they truly do care. You just have to be ready to open up and tell all of those deep dark secrets that you've hid from mom and dad your whole life. Yep I'm talking about that secret too😉... ALL OF THEM! Leave the pride outside and humble yourself because the end result can be a brand new life full of love and happiness with a dash of joy. I wish you and anyone reading this all the best and remember kids, "Don't Dabble!" And to Tom Spooner, Josh , Lisa, Alisa, Connie and my personal counselor, you know who you are.....much love and Semper Fi... ✌️😎🤙

17 years active duty and would not be alive without Warriors Heart. Inpatient Oct 22-Dec 22 and sober living after until March 23. Fantastic facility, great staff and huge support from fellow warriors there.

Some of the people here really care. It took some back and forth but when I couldn't get the VA to help WH offered to step in. But by that time I'd already had to decide to commit to other life obligations besides my sobriety.

The most incredible journey and great benefit I've been able to experience in my lifetime. After a long, hard, defeating career of drug and alcohol abuse I found myself at the end of my rope. Broken and addicted, I was contemplating suicide and destroying my entire family. Warriors Heart staff, ownership, therapists, counselors, Jiu-jitsu, K'9 program, and everyone involved had a part in saving my life. I became acquainted with every single Warriors Heart employee on a first named basis. I felt comfortable and right at home throughout the duration of my stay. So comfortable in fact, that i decided to stay for 7 months while I put the pieces of my life back together. Through Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, the K-9 program, on site yoga sessions, massage therapy, and the metal fabrication shop; I gained my confidence back as a constructive member of society again. I've succeeded in martial arts Jiu-jitsu tournaments and won. My family members enjoy my company and I've formed relationships and a bond with my children that is unbreakable and priceless. I now have 2 years of continuous sobriety, and I'm currently free from the restraints of drugs and alcohol. Before going to Warriors Heart I was sincerely contemplating suicide. I was financially broke and spiritually bankrupt. Destroying everything and everyone around me. Warriors Heart saved my life, my career, and my sanity. I have formed lasting relationships, with the like minded military and first responder community who I can trust and turn to when life gets difficult. Today I have lifelong friends in the Warrior community. I belong to a community outreach that puts forth an effort to make sure that Warriors Heart alumni are thriving and maintain a healthy lifestyle after completion of the program. This is only possible because of the Warriors Heart program integrity and lifestyle. I cannot say enough great things about Warriors Heart in its entirety. There is literally no other place like it on Earth. I'm so appreciative and grateful to have had a second chance at life. Thank you Warriors Heart.

I’ve only worked for Warriors Heart now for almost two months but I would like to share my experience so far. I have been working other jobs for over 20 years and I have never felt so wanted and appreciated like I do at Warriors Heart they treat you like you are part of their team. The employees are so respectful to each other and also to the people they serve. I am so proud to say “I am employed with Warriors Heart”♥️ They really care for the staff and the people they serve.

Such a great place, that has been nothing but good to me. From Tom Spooner down, each and every staff member have been so kind and always had welcome arms. They have helped change my life tremendously, which is still a work in progress. I highly recommend this place if you are struggling in addiction or trauma. God bless Warriors Heart.

“Warriors Heart is a very special thing. For me, it’s personally very special because it’s the only place that I’ve ever experienced where I can be 100% myself.
I’ve been involved in recovery since 1992, and I’ve also been a Warrior since 1990… Warriors Heart is the one place where that kind of healing, with the same like-minded people can occur.

It wasn’t just a prescription, you know? It was a reason and a piece of the solution for me.”

-Tom Spooner, USA (Ret) Co-Founder

“Seriously the first time through all of this that anyone has cared about me. I just want my husband and best friend to be able to live this life with me and see all the beauty I see.”
-Julie

“I now have hope. Before Warriors Heart, hope seemed like a dream lost within a sea of nightmares.

Thoughts of hopelessness, failure, depression and anxiety turned into thoughts of hope, success, happiness and confidence with the help of my guardian angels here at WH.

Thank you for saving my life.

I can say with confidence that I believe this program works for warriors. My only complaint is that this specialty program for warriors did not exist earlier in time as then there would not be a Mission 22 but perhaps a Mission zero.

Thank you for saving my life, my family, and affording me the opportunity to get back in the game to help others.”

-David O. MIL, LEO

“I have NEVER seen a place like thiswhere everyone works as a team and looks out for and honestly cares for each other!
The example of caring and teamwork was where I drew most of my inspiration to emulate them and set an example for my co-clients.”

-Michael, LEO

I am thoroughly impressed by the professionalism, compassion and empathy of the team that you have assembled. It is very apparent that they all have their client’s best interest at heart.

Braxton

…I felt like part of the family.

“I arrived at Warriors Heart very depressed and suicidal. I was accepted and cared for by everyone from day one. I didn’t feel like a patient, I felt like part of the family. I have transformed from a miserable man to a person with inner happiness. I have never been this happy in my life. Warriors Heart saved my life!!”

-Levi, Marine MP

“I came to this program apprehensive, unable to admit my addiction. I felt alone for almost 19 years in a military where addiction and mental health were taboo topics. I spiralled out of control nearly losing my family, career, and my life. I came to Warriors Heart defeated and vulnerable. I was surrounded by a community of Warriors that allowed me to come out of my hole and remove the anchors caused by trauma and addiction. I came here to find the old me, but through the program found a new and better me. I owe my career, family, and my life to this program and will be ever indebted to Warriors Heart.”

Mike J – Army

“I wanted to say thank you for everything that has been provided for me.  I came in here with out voice and identity lacking a willingness to be sober.  I believed I life of drugs was the only way to feel and be human.  Now I understand that I am powerless over all things addictive, and that there is a future in sobriety.  Where it is ok to be myself and feel pain I’ve kept locked away for so long.   Thanks for giving me an opportunity to find faith, healing, and a voice to be myself once again.”

Jim P.I

“This program allowed me to take full advantage of the time I spent here. Thank you for helping me at a crucial time in my life.”

Mark M -Air Force

“This place has been a life saver thank y’all for all your help and support! Blessings… ”

Miguel G. -Airforce

“I came here struggling with my life. I am leaving now ready to conquer anything that is in the way of me being sober and happy.”

A.A.

“Great overall experience, especially the one on ones. From the moment I was picked up I was treated with dignity and respect. All the clinicians are awesome people. I love them all. Thank you Liza, Josh and Tom, you are doing God’s work, My family and I thank and your staff.”

Jay G. -Army

“Previous treatment never worked for me and continued to indulge in alcohol and drugs finally leading me to an incident with law-enforcement and wanting to commit suicide. They took me to a hospital psych ward where I was to be released after three days that ended in two weeks and found that I needed further help at which point my wife reached out to warriors heart. It saved my life.”

Shane D -Army

“Thank you to the entire Warriors Heart team and fellow clients. I arrived here with a blind spot toward the impacts of my drinking, and feeling that my trauma was shameful. I didn’t believe I would fit in, nor that I would benefit from the substance abuse portion of the treatment. Despite this, I committed to the program to honor those who couldn’t make it to treatment. What I found was an entire network of brothers and sisters with similar issues, and a compassionate but committed staff that opened my eyes to my traumas, the way I have lived my life, and the prospects that sobriety uniquely affords. I am leaving Warriors Heart with a network of brothers and sisters, a new outlook on life, and the skills I need to achieve my purpose.Thank you for this one and a life time opportunity to get the direction I needed. May god bless you and warriors Heart.”

Lenny B. -Navy

“I came to Warriors Heart to begin the rest of my life. I was homeless and desperate for change. I had completed many programs before giving WH a try. Since being here I have grown more than I have in all the other programs. I got to the core of my trauma and worked hard with my counselors and fellow warriors in the program. The environment here is special and unique. It was the foundation of my growth. I now am moving on to Sober Living and IOP here at Warriors Heart and couldn’t be more grateful for the life I have now due to this property. Thank you for all you have done for me.”

Ed -Army

“I would never even consider going anywhere else. This place changed me on the inside and out. I can’t thank Warrior’s Heart enough
This place is awesome 👏 it works if you work it
This truly was “Warriors healing Warriors”.”

Erik S -LEO, Marines

“‘WARRIOR’S HEART IS A PLACE FOR HEALING WITH MY FELLOW BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN ARMS. STAFF UNDERSTAND OUR EXPERIENCE AND WORK WITH OUR MILITARY BACKGROUND AND EXPECTATIONS”.”

TITA -Army

“Warriors Heart has truly saved my life. Everyone always says “You’re not broken, you’re bent”. No, I was completely broken. I saw no hope. I was at a point where I would either end it myself, drinking would lead to death or lead to jail at some point. I had no faith in God or myself left. I had suffered too many traumas to even begin to pick up the pieces. I have been searching for a program that encompasses all that Warriors Heart does for years. I have been to several. I have succeeded and done well, only to fail because I did not address all of the underlying issues. I wasn’t honest with myself, my counselors or God. I tried to treat the PTSD and not the addiction or the addiction and not the PTSD. Until I found Warriors Heart where they tackle both, head on and intensely, together with other Warriors who know your struggles but also see your strengths. The peer aspect of the healing alone is unlike anything I have ever experienced and I cannot even attempt to put into words. The amount of healing I have done in my time here leaves me speechless. I am full of hope and have found Peace and Serenity. I trust the program so much that I am uprooting my entire life and my entire family to move closer to continue with the outpatient part of the program and participate in the alumni events as well. I am ready for change and ready to live in recovery and be happy for once and trust myself to live a rewarding and fulfilling life. Thank you for giving me my life back.
Warriors Heart saved my life ”

“Warriors Heart is a great program! I would highly recommend this program to anyone who needs help with their addiction.”

John C.-

“I have experienced several rehab facilities and WH smokes them all.
I had been fighting my addiction for 13 months. It was quickly coming to an end as I was unable to gain any sobriety. I hit a new bottom, my life and sanity were in immediate danger. I called Warriors Heart and they gave me a safe space to workout out my problems and a plan of recovery. The team here is like family to me. I love them all. Where I go from here depends on my ability to stick to my treatment plan. This will be difficult, but nothing worth doing is easy. I cannot stop this forward motion to rest in any way. I must give this absolutely everything I have, or this disease will take me, but not before it destroys everything I love. Time to get back to work.
Warriors Heart gave me a chance at new life I thought wasn’t possible.”

Kinsey -Army

“It’s an experience of a lifetime. It taught me how to live a life worthy of the sacrifice.
Best program in the nation. I finally felt at home, surrounded by my brothers. I got the help I needed and met a ton of friends, that I now call family. I will be forever grateful to Warriors Heart.”

– David M. -Marine

“I came to Warriors Heart full of inner war and lost with no purpose. Today I walk out with peace and god in my heart. I have found my purpose and am ready to go out and live a meaningful, sober life.
The one and only place I would direct any of my fellow brothers and sister too if struggling with PTSD and addiction.”

Rodney J -Airforce

“I have been a fighter in every sense of the word since the day I was born. It has served me well at times but also hurt myself and loved ones the same. When I feel resistance, I tend to push back harder and surrender is never an option. The Warriors Heart staff and clinicians helped me, more than words can describe, to understand that I am not surrendering to my addiction and traumas in recovery but rather I can now continue the fight with new tactics and intelligence. With these tools learned in treatment at Warriors Heart, I can begin to defeat the demons within.”

Tony W.I -Marine, Army

“Warriors Heart changed my life. I’m leaving a completely different woman, and I’m so thankful and grateful I get a second chance at life. Ive made lifelong friends here and found talents i never knew i had while going through this program. Thank you to everyone at WH who helped me get here and who helped in my recovery. Y’all have changed my life forever.”

Madi D. -First Responder

“I came here under my own will and I am proud of the person I found inside. I forgot she was in there! The 4 individual counseling sessions and fellow warriors helped me find my inner strength and the desire to continue my journey of sobriety as I prepare to depart to my residence. The electives of my choice brought out the creative side of me; K9 let me give and get unconditional love. The food options were delicious and they catered to any of my dietary needs. The entire staff and grounds were wonderful. I loved warriors Heart. This place truly saved my life. I will be forever grateful.”

God Bless the staff and fellow warriors whom made this experience possible!”

Chris CH -Army

“Coming to Warrior’s Heart was the biggest and scariest decision of my life, but the people I met and the things that I learned here saved my life.”

Allie B -Army

“I came into warriors Heart not knowing what to expect. Meeting with other clients though slowly but surely it donned on me. I was in the right place. Other facilities and programs had no idea how to reach me or make me feel welcome and accepted. “Welcome home” is much more than just a greeting here. It’s a solidifying statement made to everyone coming in to let them know you’re not alone. Every person here is here to help the overall aspect of recovery for warriors including and most importantly us, the clients. The clinicians are fantastic but I’ve seen some of the most impressive breakthroughs sitting with fellow brothers and sisters around a fire or over dinner. That dynamic really does heal and I’m forever thankful this place exists, because without it I might not.”

Josh J. -Army

“I cannot say enough good about Warriors Heart.
Contacted them about having a service dog trained for PTSD. They answered all our questions and if they didn’t have the answer, they found it. Gave us a tour at Warriors Heart and answered more questions. The staff they have is very professional and willing to help.”

-Lindsey, Wife of a Marine

“I didn’t know what to expect coming here. My experience has been fantastic!

My life has been fundamentally changed by Warriors Heart.

My experience at Warriors Heart changed the way I think about myself and my way of life.

Alcohol led me to forget who I am. Warriors Heart helped me remember who I am … a warrior.”
– Tim, US ARMY MP, Deputy Sheriff

“Wonderful people and wonderful program! A place to heal, focus and return to your best self!”

Denise

“Warriors Heart is one place we can truly feel safe. I have finally forgiven myself. My time here has made me remember that I am strong, I am brave. I can and will overcome.
God brought me to Warriors Heart for a reason. He’s held on to me and is holding me up so I can walk again. For the first time, I am excited about my future. I have to pay it forward now.

Love, your brother forever.”

-Jim, LEO

I have to pay it forward now.

“How can I not give you five stars when you saved my brother’s life?! Thank you Warriors Heart for taking care of my brother!”
-Amber

It was everything I expected and more, without any prior experience with rehab. I would highly recommend this facility due to its staff, overall treatment and facilities available.”
-George B

“When I got through the gates at Warriors Heart my nightmare was over.”

“I was welcomed with open arms and a feeling of security. I felt safe and at home. I spent the next 42 days side by side by side going through the healing process with the finest clinicians, staff and Warriors of all types that I have ever met. It was an amazing experience with the perfect environment for a seriously broken veteran desperate for hope like myself.”

I came in search of help.

staff, clients and the friends who helped me get here. And a special thank you to my amazing
counselors.”

-James A.

“A place where warriors can go to be safe and truly heal.”

“After what seemed like a day or two but was actually 29, Warriors Heart assisted me back to a healthy body, mind and spirit. I cannot stress how amazing this ranch is. I say ranch because it is unlike any facility in the world when it comes to treating and healing critical, tough almost impossible hurdles such as PTSD, TBI, and addiction. Their approach is truly unique and the brotherhood I experienced there is as strong as that of my Brother’s in combat. A true family. Beautiful, comfortable and Real. Warriors Heart changed my life.”

-Matthew C. Sapper

“I was able to share and connect with other people for the first time since I left the Army.”
-Trey G

I now have the tools, abilities and confidence to handle each situation and not just handle it but handle it the right way. I will never be able to thank everyone here enough for the gift they gave me but I will never stop trying.”

“Wow. So much to say. Bottom line warriors heart saved my life but also helped me find and rescue my soul. I lived a life from before I was born of only survival. From the moment I was created in the womb I was preparing to live in a hostile world my brain shaped and designed for a war on earth.

The first memory I have was when I was 2 not even able to speak yet but I remember being afraid. That fear and sense of being unsafe and needing to be aggressive vigilant and not trusting was my only known existence and my only way to experience the world. I did not know friendship belonging love safety happiness or fun. I was. Told these things did not exist and to want for them was for the ignorant or childish. The prey in life. Being raised by a cruel and uncaring family developed me into a nearly hopeless case destined for cruelty or victim hood. I had little hope coming here. I felt I didn’t deserve it I was unworthy, and someone was wasting their money on a non-human like me.

Many times, I wasted to quit but instead was directed how to turn that into deeper work… to buckle down and learn… the staff educated me and helped me dissect my life forensically with love and care and gentleness. They caught me how to trust. They helped me honor my spiritual gifts and none my own power to reconnect with God and start the overwhelming process of getting my life in order. Through their guidance and learning tools and sessions from EMDR I was able to finally become MYSELF. I feel I was fragmented and scattered and broken lost and abandoned before this happened. All 5e parts of me were collected from over the lost years and shown to others on, my lifeline. Once the parts came together, I was welded together in a water baptism and then the snapping and cutting and polishing could start. Everyone here client staff and all helped, are this possible.

My heart spirit and soul were integrated here and it’s all thanks to visionaries who saw this place before it was purchased. 5e ones who had the courage to see what was needed in the world and the dedication to making this happen, thank you josh and Lisa and to Tom who I never met. Thank you for believing in me and knowing to do Gods work. I hope to join in it soon… all my love and gratitude.”

“This place is amazing and even though there are multiple clients here I feel that staff takes the time to make it a focused individual program for each individual that is here while also keeping group focus as a whole. I have never had an experience like this for recovery and treatment this is a very unique program that has set a standard for Warriors of all kinds that others will have a hard time finding anywhere else. There is so much this center has to offer and clients are allowed to be part of their own individual
recovery plan to help each person grow and find what they are looking for. I have been able to regain myself and come back to who I am thanks to Warriors Heart. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

It is definitely what I needed in my life and would not have had the experience I did in a traditional treatment facility. Healing with other veterans, surrounded by a supportive and caring staff was what made all the difference.”

“Thank God for Warriors heart. Without this place I don’t know where I would be. I could very well be dead. I was traveling down A long and Lonesome Road. Warriors heart has help me come out of my isolation and depression. And I’ve seen it heal all those around me. I would’ve never gone to a conventional rehab. But I happened to stumble across from Warriors heart and it saved my life. I could not be more grateful for all the staff and counselors that assisted me along my way. Through my treatment I have rediscovered a path and direction for my life. Facility is wonderful the Helsing is amazing and all the activities that are available to do have helped me to heal my soul. I am no longer angry and resentful toward life for no reason at all again I have found my path in a direction to steer my life in.
If any prior service or first responders are looking for a place to heal their PTSD or Alcohol or drug addiction problems, then this is the place for you! Through faith and perseverance, I will once again strive in life to be the best person I can be for myself and for those around me. I am proud to call myself warriors heart alumni and if you are seeking help no matter what time of day or night you can contact them 24 hours a day seven days a week. God bless”

“My experience at warriors Heart was the best by far. Even though this was my first treatment center it was not what I expected, I expected the worst from other horror stories about other treatment centers. The staff was professional from day one until the end of my treatment. I learned so much about myself my addiction and my PTSD my counselors where straight up and to the point. There’s nothing easy about this place and for sure it is not a vacation; I took it as it was a pass or fail course. From sun up to sun down there was always something to be accomplished. There was always something to do if it wasn’t reading, working in the shops, going to crossfit or just attending class and having good discussions. I feel that I am a better person mentally and physically and spiritually I want to thank Keith David from Taskforce Dagger and Gary Koeintzer from the Special Forces Association for their support. I would recommend this place to any person that is struggling with chemical dependence or PTSD. I can’t wait for WH to expand and one day be part of this program and help others like the people here that helped me thank you Warriors Heart.”
